Who we are looking for
Due to continued business growth, we are looking for an experienced Data Analyst to join the team and help define our data storytelling. Having technical expertise in the manipulation, analysis and visualisation of both quantitative and qualitative data using SQL, Grafana (or similar) is desired. Applicants must have an ability to identify and deliver actionable insight and demonstrate business change through the application of analytics, with experience in the convenience and grocery sector a huge advantage. A critical thinker, with the curiosity to be constantly on the lookout for opportunities and the confidence to challenge and push back as needed. Somebody who has a genuine passion for data to work alongside people who share that passion.
How you will achieve this
- Lead our data analysis by generating monthly, weekly, and daily reports to present colleagues, brands, retailers, and stakeholders with key insights to help with decision making.
- Creating data driven dashboards using Grafana to visualise key metrics needed to understand the performance of our product, as well as to present to internal and external partners.
- Creating panels using Grafana upon request to help others generate the data they need to help assist with their roles. These can range from statistics, graphs, charts, tables, dashboard drilldowns.
- Ability to think of new and innovative ways to improve our view on the data we have such as homing in on customer personas and how various circumstances can lead to certain patterns or trends.
- Includes consistent use of SQL coding language to link various databases and tables to create new and important statistics used in an innovative as well as investigative manner.
- Using SQL to navigate through our large company database to be able to investigate and interrogate various activities by stores or shoppers to either help highlight success or potential fraudulent behaviour.
- Knowledge of Excel to create forecasts to help the business predict future performance and expenditures, as well as to calculate and generate certain metrics given to us by our partners.
- Ability to adapt to various Ad Hoc requests which usually need to be completed quickly and efficiently to assist other colleagues.
- Written skills needed to present various findings and reports on a company wide scale.
- Ability to present findings and Insights verbally.
