Senior Nurse for School Nursing and Looked After Children’s teams in Hackney and The City of London - Band 8B.
We are looking for a qualified SCPHN who with a strong Public Health focus who will be at the forefront of the remodelling of our service, ensuring that the best health and wellbeing outcomes are achieved for our children and young people of school age and those who are looked after.
You will provide Senior Leadership and Management to the 5-19 School Nursing service and the Looked after Children service. Please see Job description and personal spec for full duties and responsibilities.
To provide senior leadership and management to the 5-19 School Nursing service and Looked after Children Service.
Evaluate existing services to identify gaps in available support for school-aged children and young people and looked after children and develop strategies to maximise support and access to relevant services according to age and maturity
To work closely with and support colleagues to provide high quality innovative healthcare to children and young people wherever they are seen in the organisation.
Use specialist public health knowledge when influencing and advocating and making decisions for the safety and wellbeing of school-aged children and young people and looked after children
To develop and improve the delivery of services for children and young people
To take responsibility for the provision of a cost-effective, high quality care service
To be responsible for the overall professional performance of the School Nursing and Looked after Children teams.
To ensure appropriate use of all resources, delegated budgets and staffing, taking into account the fluctuating demands of workload and service developments.
To undertake regular clinical duties on an occasional basis and act as a clinical role model.
To promote the reputation of children and young people services by networking locally and nationally with key stakeholders and across organizational boundaries
