What you'll do
Responsible for the development, design and build of a Dedicated Customer network
Senior Network Specialist for Dedicated Customer network: incorporating product testing, integration, design and build as well as through life management
Provide a professional customer facing interface and technical point of contact in relation to the deployment and ongoing support of projects and new opportunities
Subject matter expert for transmission, able to work with the wider technical teams to deliver a multi- disciplined end to end technical solution.
Analyse available network data to provide insights to promote effective decision making on future network development.
3rd line support element, which will involve assistance and advice on complex faults / project issues
Who you are
Detailed understanding of DWDM solutions incorporating high order and low order transmission technologies.
Promote and develop good working relations with other Departments, external agencies, and Contractors.
Detailed knowledge of:
o Multiservice/Reconfigurable Switching
o Optical Switching
o Transmission Network Management Systems (NMS)
Legacy SDH/PDH Networks
Eligibility for DV clearance
