Bright Learning Centre is a well-established training provider. We are presently seeking to recruit a Full-time or Part time Tutor to teach and assess variety of courses delivered by the company. Full training will be provided if you have passion for teaching.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • carry out an initial assessment of learners to identify and agree on appropriate learning routes to meet individual learning needs.
  • Deliver a range of accredited and non-accredited training courses in an effective manner
  • Plan and deliver lessons on a variety of courses such as Functional Skills, IELTS, ESOL, Life in the UK, English Tests and Driving Theory training etc delivered by the centre.
  • Invigilate assessments taken by learners to fulfil awarding body requirements
  • Assess and record learner achievement and competence, setting targets and identifying training needs.
  • Keep record of each learner’s daily progress reports to update the managers about learner’s learning journey.
  • Where appropriate develop and manage progression routes for our learners onto further learning opportunities
  • Produce good quality resources and activities to support and underpin all learning programmes
  • Be a team player and capable of supporting a team with daily operations.
  • Understand ESOL teaching techniques in supporting learners
  • The ability to engage learners through a range of teaching resources.
  • Handling day to day admin duties

Skills and abilities, we’re looking for in our Tutor:

  • Candidate must have good command in English - both written and verbal
  • Candidate must be fluent in speaking Hindi/Punjabi language
  • Use own initiatives to plan class timings to meet learners and business needs
  • To persuade & influence others and deal with conflict/challenging behaviour
  • To work well under pressure
  • To work to targets & deadlines to meet monthly enrolments
  • Excellent organisation skills
  • Competent in use of IT - MS Word, Excel & Powerpoint

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £7.00-£10.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday

  • LEICESTER: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
