Job description
We're looking for a Senior Motion Designer / Video Editor to join our experienced UI and Brand team working across a number of exciting console and PC titles. You will help make our products visually compelling and enjoyable to use. You will also support our Comms team with any studio brand requirements.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the UI Art Director and Studio Art Director to create high quality motion and video assets to be used in our games UI
- Direct and capture gameplay, edit and put together pitches, teasers and trailers
- Work with our Comms team to support the Lucid identity via internal and external communications including social media assets and promotional materials
- Participate in developing marketing campaign concepts.
- Support and mentor junior members of the team
- Keep up to date with the latest motion design trends
Required Skills/Experience
- Extensive experience in After Effects and Premiere Pro including knowledge of chroma keying and rotoscoping
- Good knowledge of visual and stylistic trends, particularly in the games industry
- Typographic and design skills for titles, transitions and animations
- Excellent understanding of video formats
- Strong understanding of audio in video content for instance voice overs and music
- Self motivated, with a passion for learning new techniques in order to grow within the role
- Strong communication, organisation and writing abilities
- Collaborative and open to feedback in a sometimes fast paced environment

- Knowledge of UI for video games
- Knowledge of 3D
- Experience using Unreal Engine

The interview process for the Senior Motion Designer / Video Editor role is made up of 2 stages:
- First interview (45 minutes) – An informal chat to discuss your experience and working history relating to the position with our Studio Art Director and UI Director. In return, we will provide a full overview of the role, life at the studio as well as answer any questions you may have.
- Final interview (30 -45 minutes) – A final Interview with our Studio Head and Studio Production Director. This will be a chance for you to get to know the Senior Management team and all the things that make Lucid, Lucid! You will have a lot of opportunities to ask any questions about the studio and Culture.
