An integral part of the Buying and Merchandising department, the Senior Merchandising Admin role provides a crucial link between head office and the retail stores.
The Senior Merchandising Assistant anticipates customer needs to plan the most effective product placement through managing stock replenishment, aiming to ensure the best possible use is made of the season's stock. Responsible for maximising sales and profits by analysing seasonal trends, branch and stock performance ensuring that the right quantities of stock are in the right location, at the right time.
Hybrid working applies to this role, meaning you can work 50% of your time from our beautiful office in Kensington and 50% of your time from home.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Main duties include entering initial purchase orders and any in season re-orders, invoice posting and stock allocation, monitoring the warehouse stock, analysing assigned area on measured performance and profitability.
Area Management
Collects and champions the weekly store performances (turnover and contribution).- Coordinates the flow of information within business (YP, communicates information from the stores to the HO and vice versa).
- Analyses weekly area performance and proposes/recommends any necessary corrections. Complete any actions from the weekly Trade Call.
- Manages store inventory levels based on store capacity, seasonality and selling curves supporting in-store visual guides.
- Completes store visits and builds strong relationships with Store Managers and Area Managers to improve area’s performances.
- Manages or assists ad-hoc projects that arise within the B&M department.
Stock and Sales Management
Manages purchase orders from initial allocation through to completion.- Manages the basic stock replenishment programs developing IDS recommendations to the Assistant Merchandiser.
- Monitors and manages the flow of products to meet objectives set for the area and for a period of time.
- Develops information queries, excel reporting, and analysis templates, which support the B&M team.
- Supports the B&M team by analysing the weekly, monthly and seasonal product performances.
- Checks accuracy of all automated reporting tools (Sell through, BRGA, turnover) as well as accuracy of all key information set up on prima.
- Works cross functionally with Customer Services, Warehouse, Retail Operations, Visual Merchandising and Marketing.
- Manages or assists ad-hoc projects that arise within the B&M department.
Seasonal Buy
Run analysis of previous collection performance and present during seasonal autopsy.- Review the store grading for your area categories and check continued relevancy.
- Support in selecting the range and photograph chosen SKUs/looks.
- Review the proposed launch calendar.
- Submit finalised order to Commercial Planning and raise orders in order of priority.
Customer Profiling
Updates monthly international customer profiles based on VAT free reports and airports analysis.- Reviews and updates the existing customer profiles.

Skills and Experience Required:
An analytical approach.- Excellent written & verbal communication skills: good at focused listening, produces a wide a range of detailed reports and other written or visual material. Draws upon data concentrating on key facts and figures in order to prepare proposals and communications.
