Summary
Lamington Group is looking for a motivated Marketing Executive to make an industry-changing impact working for the world's first hometel brand, room2, whilst also continuing the development of Missionworks co-working space and further brands currently under development.
The individual has the opportunity to take an inspiring young brand and really make their mark during a fast-paced nationwide expansion.
About Lamington Group
Lamington is a 50-year-old family-owned and run real estate investment and development business based in London. The business has a significant property holding and operates in residential and short term apartments under the Lamington Apartments brand.
About room2
room2 hometels is an innovative new brand and concept created by Lamington Group, focused on a nationwide rollout. room2 has market-leading guest experiences and a growing reputation in challenging the stagnant and soulless hotel market with a design and experience-led hometel product. Sustainability is at the heart of the brand and our goal is to allow guests to travel more sustainably.,.
Hometels is a new sector of the hospitality industry created by room2. They sit between hotels, Airbnb and serviced apartments, and deliver the comforts and flexibility of home combined with the best bits of a hotel, plus the experience of Airbnb.
room2 currently have hometels open in London and Southampton, with room2 Belfast opening this summer and with many more locations to come.
Your Objective
To drive awareness of and booking preference for both the room2 and other brands across the Lamington group portfolio,, resulting in growth in direct bookings and total property revenue.
To create unique guest experiences which reflect the values of the brand and generate positive word-of-mouth both offline and online. Continually look for ways to develop and enhance both the brand and guest journey from a design and physical perspective, whilst being the key brand guardian.
Role and Responsibilities:
This is a broad scope marketing role, which requires expertise across multiple elements of the marketing mix, combined with a solid understanding of the leisure and accommodation sector. You’ll enjoy autonomy and the opportunity to see your ideas develop and blossom, as the brand and company grows. Campaigns
- Execute creative, content led campaigns across multiple channels (print, web, online, social, e-campaigns).
- Execute one-off bespoke campaigns to focus on brand awareness and database growth
- Leverage existing partnerships to drive revenue and awareness, whilst looking for new opportunities to strengthen brand positioning.
- Support and drive Food & Beverage activity to enhance revenue contribution and attract new external visitation.
- Create, develop and execute digital campaigns to drive revenue and maximise ROI
Content/PR
- Social media management across multiple online platforms
- Reactive and Proactive influencer activity to drive brand awareness, primarily of room2 brand. Support and liaise with external PR companies to maintain proactive PR activity.
- Develop, update and generate visual assets across properties and locations. Support and assist during video and photoshoots with external contractors
- Generate written content in-line with brand TOV for online and offline platforms. Including advertising, website, social, 3rd party placements.
- Manage the marketing CRM to effectively distribute automated customer information and tactical marketing.
- Update and manage property websites to ensure up to date information, driving revenue and book direct metrics.
Brand & Design
- Create onsite collateral to assist guest communications and brand awareness in-line with brand principles and frameworks
- Develop advertising material, sales collateral and investor documentation to support growth of the brand.
- Look for ways to enhance brand touchpoints and design through creative execution and exploration
- Design creative social media campaign in line with brand core messages
- Be the guardian of the brand, consistently living brand values and ensuring compliance across organisation in line with brand frameworks
Guest Experience
- Support onsite guest and client events through relevant collateral creation, communication and attendance.
- Consistently review guest journey, looking for ways to enhance the guest experience and create unique/memorable moments
- Review physical on-property collateral and signage to enhance the guest experience and brand awareness
- Source products, gifts and branded collateral for sales/guest promotions and giveaways.
About you
- You have previous experience working in a general marketing role, across hospitality, leisure and retail
- You are highly motivated, well organized and have impeccable attention to detail
- You are creative and have passion for ‘outside the box’ thinking
- You love creating eye catching designs for both offline and online channels
- You are a team player who enjoys working with like minded individuals
- You are social media obsessed and have experience planning and executing campaigns for both organic and paid campaigns
- You have experience in Adobe & Photoshop

Salary: £34,000.00-£39,000.00 per year
