Job description
This role is responsible for developing and delivering the content marketing strategy across the V&A’s global social media footprint including Masterbrand, V&A South Kensington, V&A East, Young V&A and the full family of sites, whilst also providing strategic direction for commercial, events and licensee social activity.
With an expanding audience remit and channel mix as we become a multi-site museum, this role drives channel strategy, manages the social media team and collaborates closely with colleagues across Communications, Marketing, Digital, Learning and Curatorial to develop content propositions and instil best practice. A key element of the role will be determining the social strategy and content plan for the V&A’s exciting exhibition program, alongside the brand and campaigns team.
It is also tasked with developing and supporting high profile influencer partnerships, to build the V&A’s reach and reputation. Whilst always being the brand guardian of any output from V&A’s social channels with a combined following of 4 million.
The V&A is a creative workplace, and the role provides autonomy, with a need to be agile and adapt well to working with almost every department across the museum, as well as supporting the social team to grow and create content that resonates with the museum’s diverse range of audiences.
