- Bachelor of Science/Arts (B.S. or B.A.) degree (or higher) in security or related field or equivalent work.
- 10+ years of experience in one or all of the following disciplines; corporate security management, transportation/supply chain security.
- 10+ years of Security experience, specifically in Aviation Security and Customs.
- 10+ years as a security manager in a multi-location global corporate environment.
- 10+ years of experience in a customer service driven environment.
- 10+ years of experience conducting workplace risk investigations.
- Experience with all Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to travel 30-40% of the time.
- Ability to work in an operational environment when required.
As part of Amazon’s Global Aviation Security and Regulatory Compliance team, Amazon seeks an enthusiastic, customer-obsessed senior manager of Aviation Security and Regulatory Compliance based in the E.U. This function will provide support and oversight for the air cargo transportation business from an Aviation Security and Customs operations compliance perspective encompassing initiatives for the transportation supply chain involving Amazon owned and third-party delivery methods. In partnership with multiple internal and external teams, this position will establish risk-based security standards and new aviation security and customs processes for each use case. The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring regulations, corporate policies, and standardized processes are implemented as required, in addition to driving ongoing assessments to identify risks and formulate appropriate mitigation strategies to sustain existing and future business operations.

- Introduction of industry knowledge on transportation security and customs efforts for Amazon.
- Provide guidance and support to Operations within the transportation space.
- Manage information from various reporting tools to determine, manage, and mitigate risks.
- Implement security and shrinkage control programs to protect assets from loss due to internal/external theft and operational issues.
- Collaborate with internal customers to develop security solutions to address evolving operational processes, focusing on identifying solutions that facilitate business objectives.
- Create strategic programs to enhance guardrails while maintaining compliance efforts in the cargo arena.
- Work with internal customers to establish, provide and agree on clear goals, objectives, and performance delivery outcomes and timelines.
- Lead and develop people and teams through direct and indirect engagement
- Managing timely, ethical, and professional investigations into theft, compliance, and workplace incidents.
- Lead crisis management planning and emergency response for air operations at Amazon, both third-party and Amazon owned assets.
- Master’s Degree
- IATA security certifications
- CPP, PSP, or CFE certification
- Experience in working with physical security systems
