Senior Management Accountant

We are currently recruiting for an experienced and organized Senior Management Accountant to joint the team at Hollands Pies.

About the Role:
The opportunity has arisen to support Hollands Pies as a Senior Management Accountant dedicated to one of the sites within the business.
Reporting directly into the Finance Manager and supported by a wider team this role will be tasked with Production of weekly and monthly financial data in a timely and accurate manner for the pastry business unit. In addition, the role will aid department heads on spend analysis and work with Group for reconciliation and consistency purposes.
Accountabilities:
- Assist in the production of weekly and monthly profit and loss account for the pastry business unit in a timely and accurate manner.
- Preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations with detail for management sign-off and submission to group for file and audit requirements.
- Supports the cost reduction process of the pastry business with detailed analysis of department spend for management review. Identifying areas where additional analysis would prove beneficial.
- Preparation of weekly sales, PPV and stock reporting where issues can be logged, followed-up in advance ensuring accurate weekly profit and loss reporting.
- Preparation of accurate product costings for the commercial team
- Report to internal and external customers, internally direct to Business Unit Finance manager and externally to group and Audit requirements.
- Tracking daily, weekly and monthly plant production variances by detail to Group finance, site Finance and plant management.
- Assist department heads, finance and plant manager with financial analysis beneficial to the business.
- Commercial Awareness - Critically analysing the forecast and challenging the sales team.
- Financials – Delivery of the budget. Management of cash through appropriate stockholding and Grants. Management of Capital spend for the Business unit.
- Forecasting – Maintain and critically analyse rolling monthly forecast for the site.
About you:
- Hold a professional accounting qualification (ACCA/ CIMA) with at least 5 years industry experience.
- Self-motivated, with an ability to influence at all levels
- Experience of a FMCG Manufacturing environment
- Good analytical skills with attention to detail but able to see the bigger picture
- Always willing to challenge the status quo and prompt new ways of working
- Intermediate Excel skills including use of pivot tables
- Good organisational abilities to ensure deadlines are met
- Knowledge of SAP is desirable
