Salary: £22,369 to £22,777 per annum (£10,882 to £11,080 pro rata for part time) £11.59 to £11.81 hourly rate with entitlement to Saturday Enhancement to working 3 hours 30 minutes for 1 in 2 Saturdays.

West Sussex Library Service currently provides the library service at Ford Prison, a Category D open adult male prison funded by the Home Office.
A recent HMPI inspection described the library at HMP Ford as a tranquil environment where “95% of prisoners currently visit the library once a week or more” and “almost all prisoners are registered with the library.”
We are looking for a Senior Library Assistant who is keen to develop their skills and passionate about the important role that libraries play in society. You will have the confidence to work in a unique environment where you can really make a difference.
You will be IT literate and be able to work effectively alongside a range of prison staff, prisoners, and colleagues across the Library Service.
