Job description
We're looking for a Senior Legal Counsel – Commercial who expects more from their career. It's a chance to become a trusted partner to the business on commercial, IP, technology, data & privacy and other matters across a region. It's an opportunity to work with a market-leading business to provide legal expertise as we continue to grow our business.
Joining our Legal team, you'll work with world class and passionate people to provide advice and support on a variety of legal and compliance-related matters, ensuring the interests and risks of the business are protected. You'll support a wide range of business areas, including our Sales and Commercial teams, data and technology teams, Leadership teams and other teams located in multiple countries. You'll negotiate, advise and draft a wide variety of legal agreements with a range of clients across the retail and fast moving goods sector. Privacy is integral to everything we do so you'll work with our core Privacy team to mitigate risk.
Please note that this is an initial 10-month fixed-term contract.
What we expect from you
Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Qualified Solicitor (5 years + PQE), ideally member of the Law Society of England and Wales
- Successful track record in Commercial, IP and GDPR privacy law
- Experience of working on technology and corporate matters across retail and media sectors
- Strong negotiation and drafting skills
- Line management experience
- Strong stakeholder experience, providing expert counsel to internal stakeholders and liaising with external providers.
