Job description

A Senior Position within the Leasing team with the responsibility of taking ownership and leasing a portfolio of vacant properties in London.


You will work alongside and directly manage a Leasing Manager (LM) who will support you in achieving your objectives and targets.

You will concentrate on high value and more complex transactions whilst allowing your LM to concentrate on lower value transactions and obtaining your approval. A high churn of deals is expected.


Working with the respective Heads of Asset Management, you will be required to help advise on the leasing strategy of your vacant properties, advise on re-lettings works, provide marketing assumptions and advice to the capex and development team on properties which require investment.


The individual must have a strong track record of transactional activity, understanding complex deals, financial implications, whilst being able to look at the bigger picture. Strong interpersonal, written and presenting skills are a necessity.


The general role will incorporate:


  • Responsible for a Portfolio of Vacant Property
    • Within London.
    • Assets include Industrial, Office, Retail, F & B, Leisure.
    • Instructing and managing external agents.
    • Regular on-site inspections.
    • Instructing reletting works.

  • Marketing
    • Preparing and implementing strategy.
    • Working with the Marketing team, creating brochures and other material.
    • Working with Comms and Marketing on Arch Co message, branding, placemaking.
    • Ensure, along with your LM, the website is up to date.
    • Regular meetings with agents, discussing demand, schedules of interest.
    • Reporting up the business.


  • Leasing / Transactions
    • Negotiating offers received.
    • Creating Heads of Terms with individuals and tenant advisors.
    • Further negotiations of Heads of Terms.
    • Instructing solicitors and negotiating leases, through to completion.
    • Managing consents for alterations.
  • Transaction Approvals
    • Prepare board papers for approval.
    • Be able to present your case and justify your proposed transaction.
    • Review your LM’s board approval papers prior to submission to the Head of Leasing East/West.
    • Support your LM’s proposed transaction.

  • Investment/Capex
    • Working with Investment Team on Projects.
    • Advising on scopes.
    • Advising on market assumptions and trends.

  • Reporting
    • Ensure data is input and accurate.
    • Keep systems up to date; Horizon, Tableau.
    • To ensure Senior Management can always see the current position.

  • Direct Managing of Leasing Manager
    • Managing & coaching to develop the LM.
    • Evaluating performance.
    • Regular 1-2-1’s.
    • Delegation of work.
