Title: Senior Java Developer
Location: London office. Hybrid working. You'll work from home most of the time, with a couple of days a month in our London office.
Salary: £70K - £80K Basic + Benefits Package.
With 20 staff & growing, the time has come to bring in an experienced Senior Developer to work closely with the software product creator & the European off-shore team, to drive the product forward.
You'll work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions – this will not just be a siloed “coding” role & we’d encourage professional growth by working with product on new feature development & making important decisions about the product roadmap, from a technical point of view.
Our ideal individual will have a bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, with an experienced career in Java development (in the main)
You'll have a strong understanding of Java fundamentals, including object-oriented programming, data structures, and algorithms. You'll also have experience with Docker containers, Spring (Boot), and other relevant Java frameworks. Familiarity with Kafka, Solr, MySQL, and Deeplearning4J is a huge plus but NOT required – you’ll certainly learn this & we’d encourage growth into other areas technologies that you want to explore.
Above all – technical ability, passion & an insatiable curiosity for problem solving will be key – so we encourage applications from all levels of experience!
