Cornwall Partnership NHS Foundation Trust currently has an exciting opportunity to support the Trust and Integrated Care System as the Senior Information Analyst for the county’s co-ordination hub. Working closely with the Head of Performance, BI and operational leads from across the system, you will provide high quality leadership on the information provision to the hub, and will link with the wider Performance Team to continue to develop the information to drive better patient discharge.

Main duties of the job

What will you achieve in the role?:

  • Lead on the provision of high quality information to allow clear decision making to support patient discharge
  • Work with multi-organisational teams to ensure the right information reaches the right people to allow good patient flow
  • Develop the information available to cover all pathways of discharge.

Education / Qualifications and Relevant Experience

Essential criteria
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent
  • Significant experience of extracting & analysing complex and sensitive data to support the monitoring requirements to meet NHS targets. Significant experience in the use of information systems e.g. SQL, Access databases, Excel
  • Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a complex problem-solving environment. Ability to find answers that aren’t always immediately obvious

Skills and Aptitude

Essential criteria
  • Highly Skilled in collecting, extracting and validating complex and sensitive data from a variety of computer systems.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff across the Trust, including very senior managers
Desirable criteria
  • Specialist knowledge and understanding of Mental Health and Community information, clinical terminology and coding systems.

Knowledge & Abilities

Essential criteria
  • Detailed knowledge of NHS Rio system
  • Knowledge of the NHS data model and data sets specifically related to the Trust
Desirable criteria
  • Knowledge of Population Health Modelling principles
