Job Summary
Senior HR Business Partner proactively partners and collaborates with managers to provide pragmatic and commercially focussed solutions to bring the People agenda to life and to support in the delivery of business strategy by creating an environment of positive people management
Accountabilities and main responsibilities
Establish a thorough understanding of the business, its strategic goals, opportunities and challenges, and use this, plus any people insight data, to identify, develop, agree and deliver a People Plan that is strategically aligned to the businesses aims.
Ensure managers benefit from proactive advice, training and coaching on all aspects of people management; attendance, engagement, performance management, capability and conduct issues, redundancy, settlement agreements.
In partnership with key business stakeholders, take accountability for delivery of positive momentum in key people metrics (e.g. retention, employee engagement) in line with the people plan.
Proactively utilise Management Information to identify key areas where HR can support and contribute to business improvement.
Act as HR lead on key projects including acquisition, restructure and integration related activity.
Spearhead and manage any complex ER issues and act as an escalation point for the team.
Provide guidance on people practices such as benchmarking, benefits, restructures, reward and recognition.
Spearhead and implement practical measures to support employee engagement.
Work with the wider HR team on projects in the areas of employee attraction, diversity and inclusion, career paths and success planning.
Skills/Experience
MCIPD Level 7 highly desirable or appropriate experience.
Demonstrated Senior Business Partner experience, ideally in the technology sector.
Strong employment law knowledge and a commercial approach to applying it.
Experience in providing and using data to make people-based decisions.
Stakeholder management - employees, managers and senior managers. As well as managing expectations, you will need to have the credibility and rapport to influence, and the confidence to question others.
Strong communication skills; accurate, considered, persuasive and succinct.
Proven track record of quickly being able to build relationships and establish trust with senior management.
Ability to collaborate with and influence peers.
Ability to work unsupervised in a fast-paced environment, prioritising work accordingly.
The creativity and flexibility to adapt to different situations and rapid change, to balance conflicting priorities.
