WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Partner the Retail Operations Director to execute and embed a people plan that underpins the retail strategy
- Provide coaching, counsel, support, and technical expertise on all HR matters, effectively partnering the Retail Operations Director and other retail senior leaders
- Hold retail leaders to account in the delivery of their own plans and in creating a performance management culture to drive business improvement and improve employee engagement
- Manage a team of Retail People Partners on a day-to-day basis, including supporting the team’s development
- Ensure that all activity, both ‘business as usual’ and project work, is delivered efficiently, effectively and to a high standard
- Support in recruitment and selection processes for key hires e.g. Regional Operations Managers.
- Be a champion and custodian of the highest standards of CSR, DEI, Compliance, Regulatory and Legal Requirements; ensuring our business is inclusive and operates to the highest possible standards

- Strong communication and influencing skills, and an ability to adapt both style and approach
- Be able to work at pace in an ever-changing environment
- Ability and willingness to provide honest feedback and challenge others constructively
- Experience to use data and insight to influence and make strategic decisions
- Confident to handle complex issues and a capability to make sound judgement decisions in time pressured situations
- Good commercial acumen
- Strong at planning, and organising, with the ability to effectively multitask
- Ability to influence and manage senior internal stakeholders, and centres of excellence
- Broad HR technical knowledge
- Experience of leading and developing a team
- Self-motivated with a relentless drive and passion to make improvements and achieve results
- Experience of working within an Ulrich business partner model and within a matrix model
- Successfully lead on key organisational changes
- Experience in a fast paced Retail environment
