We are looking for a talented individual with a creative mindset to join our team in delivering creative design projects for the University.
Our team is different from the norm. It is Agile. Creative. Responsive. Innovative. We are looking for an experienced Senior Graphic Designer to join our studio. Sharing your specialist knowledge and advice.
About you:
The right candidate will be a key contributor to the team, juggling a high volume of print and digital creative projects in a supremely organised fashion while adhering to tight deadlines with accuracy. You will work alongside our team of designers and internal cross-functional teams, maintaining high levels of communication and collaboration.
This role will see you –
- Work on a wide range of projects and media, using various software programs to visualise and develop innovative graphic designs that meet business goals.
- Obtain input from stakeholders to ensure that designs meet organisational standards and brand expectations, express ideas accurately, and represent the University appropriately.
- Work independently and cooperatively with cross-functional teams to meet deadlines, stay within budget, and schedule project implementation based on workload.
- Examine existing processes, identify flaws, and create solutions that improve design capabilities.
- Collaborate, brainstorm, and strategize with multiple teams or clients on a wide range of materials, including web pages, presentations, programming collateral, signage, internal communications, newsletters, and marketing materials.
- Translate strategic direction into high-quality design within our established brand identity.
- Develop concepts by hand or with software and execute original content by determining the ideal usage of colour, text, font style, imagery, and layout.
- Use trend intelligence and knowledge of historical and current markets when designing and executing specific classifications.
You'll need:
- A proven graphic designing experience
- A strong portfolio
- Expert with design software and technologies (Adobe Cloud and motion graphics)
- A keen eye for aesthetics and details
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work methodically and meet deadlines
Where is this role based?
This post is based at our lively Frenchay campus
It is easy to get to, with excellent road, rail and bus links. We also have a range of cycling and changing facilities, making it the ideal place to work for those commuting to Bristol. While you’ll be based at Frenchay, your remit will take you Europe wide on occasion.

This is a full-time, permanent post, working 37 hours per week.
