At the Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One Team, a group of passionate and determined people work to design, develop, manufacture and race the cars driven by seven-time World Champion Lewis Hamilton and rising star George Russell.
The Team has set a new benchmark for Formula One success during the sport’s current Hybrid era, winning consecutive Drivers’ and Constructors’ World Championships in 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020, and the Constructors’ Championship in 2021.
This is an exciting role for an experienced Senior Graphic Designer to join our in-house team, working on creative designs and graphics for the Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One Team.
We’re looking for a multidisciplinary Senior Graphic Designer with a strong portfolio and extensive experience of delivering engaging and creative solutions for all aspects of design, including but not limited to branding, illustrations, digital, print and signage. Experience in event design and layout design would be advantageous for this role.
As a custodian of the Mercedes-Benz brand and Mercedes-AMG Petronas brand identity you will produce engaging designs that reflect our brands, our values and support our business objectives.
The role:
As our Senior Graphic Designer your responsibilities will include:
- Take briefs from the Head of Creative design and key stakeholders in the business, delivering graphic design work from concept to final artwork
- Deliver designs in line with the Mercedes-Benz brand guidelines and the team brand identity
- Implementation of the team partner brands, aligning to our logo usage guidelines
- Manager larger longer-term project design work whilst maintaining the flow of day-to-day design requests
- Create engaging and creative graphics, illustrations, and diagrams for use in internal and external communications within established brand guidelines.
- Support all team departments with design needs including but not limited to digital material, presentations, signage, and print material.
- Manage production processes to ensure designs and projects are delivered on time and to the agreed standard
- Line management of Graphic Design team members, overseeing the mentoring and development of the junior team members
- Work closely with the Studio Planner on demand versus delivery and ensure effective resource deployment across the scope of work
- Work with minimal supervision to constraining briefs with tight deadlines
- Manage relationships with internal stakeholders at a senior level and a wide range of external suppliers, including architects and creative agencies
What we are looking for:
The successful; candidate will be highly creative, motivated, and excellent at multi-tasking with a broad design skill set. You will have a proven competence of working in a similar environment and have excellent knowledge of the adobe creative suite including illustrator, photoshop, InDesign and premiere. Knowledge of Microsoft office will be beneficial. In addition to 5 year plus graphic design experience, management skills, first-class organisational and time management skills and a sound attention to detail is also necessary.
