Senior Food Technologist Remote
Job description
Alexander Steele are delighted to be partnering with a premium foods business. They supply high quality products into the retail, food service and B2B Manufacturing channels. They are looking for a talented Senior Food Technologist to join their team.
On Offer:
- A salary of £40,000 to £45,000 depending on experience

The role:
As Senior Food Technologist you will deliver all the safe and legal technical requirements for the company. You will work with the wider business including NPD, procurement, commercial, supply chain and operations as well as working with suppliers and customers. Work with NPD on trials and launches from a Technical perspective
- Work on existing products including development of quality attribute sheet for customer launches
- Completion of customer and NPD specifications whilst ensuring all documentation is completed and up to date.
- Ensure a good flow of technical communication to other parts of the business
- Work on all allocated customer complaints and queries
- Ensure compliance to customer standards and code of practices
- Audit and manage suppliers - including supplier visits
- Contribute to the continuous development of the department and processes through agreed departmental KPIs and targets.
The candidate:
- A minimum of 3 years experience working in a similar Technical role within food manufacturing
- Hold a degree in Food Science or the equivalent experience
- Good knowledge of the food industry and UK food legislation is essential
- HACCP level 3 or above
- Good working knowledge of BRC standards
- A motivated individual who can work well under pressure
- An individual with strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills
