Senior Financial Accountant (12-month FTC) Nottingham, England
Job description
- this role is open to remote working within Nottingham. Successful candidates will be required to travel to their closest UNiDAYS campus (Nottingham) on occasion. Please note that this is a maternity cover role (FTC for 12 months).
The role in a nutshell
This role represents a requirement to strengthen the team and support the FC as the Group expands into new regions and continues to grow.
Day to day responsibilities
- Being a specialist with regards to Company tax & audit compliance
- Evaluate existing processes, identify & implement improvements
- Maintain high levels of integrity and conduct
- Group accounts consolidation
- VAT returns & compliance
- Corporation tax calculation and submission
- PAYE submissions (P11d & PSA)
- Assist with Audit planning, preparation and completion
- Reviewing company share schemes
- Assist with the preparation of the Financial Accounts
- Assist with the preparation of the monthly management accounts
- Calculating monthly accrued revenue
- Responsibility for a number of balance sheet reconciliations
- Liaise with professional advisors (KPMG)
What we need from you
Who You Are
- A detail driven finance professional (ACCA/ ACA qualified)
- The ability to maintain great relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Great communicator
- Able to work to tight deadlines with high levels of accuracy
What You Have Done
- Successfully assisted with Tax and Compliance for a Global business
- Experience completing VAT calculations and returns
- Experience completing Corporation tax calculations and returns
- Exposure to R&D calculations and report submission
- Successfully assisted with the delivery of the year end Audit process
- Experience working in a fast paced, constantly evolving Global business
