The Purpose

The Person
As the Senior Finance Manager you will take on the responsibility for providing support after the implementation of a new system & full transactional finance separation of functions currently provided by the central team. You will report to the Senior Director of Finance Operations & Projects with a dotted line to the Senior Director at Trentham.
Required Experience
- Qualified accountant ACA, ACMA or ACCA would be advantages ideally within a fast-moving forward-thinking organisation.
- Possess strong analytical/technical skills with strong business partnering skills.
- Experience in business change processes.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and manage deadlines.
- Ability to communicate at all levels, drive change, implement new processes and work cross functionally.
- Very high level of initiative and self-motivation but also able to follow the agreed way of working.
- Hands on and task oriented.
- Experience in Sage Intacct is preferred although not essential.
Other key tasks will include
- Become the key point of contact for Sage Intacct system implementation with delivery partners.
- Ensure that post go-live system reviews are conducted and take full ownership of the hyper-care period.
- Continuously review business process and support both the Finance team & wide Trentham teams through business change and adoption of the new system and ways of working.
- Working alongside the Trentham Senior Leadership Team, take full ownership in preparing the business plan and annual budget, identifying opportunities to maximise returns and ensure the plan is robust and deliverable.
- Act as the key financial liaison between the Trentham business and the Central finance teams, responding to all ad hoc queries in a timely fashion.
- Develop KPIs and targets to monitor performance, from which the accuracy of monthly forecasts and business performance commentary can be derived.
- Support the existing key stakeholders to define roles and responsibilities of a newly formed Trentham Finance team.
- Day to day management of the Trentham Finance team.
- Identify skills gaps, implement appropriate training needs to support and develop the Trentham Finance team.
- Ensure that the Trentham Finance team have personal development plans in place.
- Develop and ensure safe working practices.
