Remote working opportunity but must be able to occasionally commute to hub office at Harwell Campus, Harwell OX11 0GD and other meetings/events across Oxfordshire.
Please note - From 1st April to 30th September 2023, OxLEP is conducting a 4 Day Working Week Pilot scheme with staff working Monday - Thursday in a typical week. The pro-rata salary for this role is based on a 30 hour full time equivalent.
An opportunity has become available to join our team on a fixed term contract up to 31/12/23.
As part of the finance team you will be supporting the Finance Manager to ensure the smooth day to day running of the finance department, meeting the company monthly financial reporting deadlines and link to the wider business.
Main Duties will include
- Preparation and overseeing of outsourced payroll delivery
- Preparation of monthly reports relating to Holiday, Absence and Flexi Time
- Financial and HR administration support to Finance Manager & Operations and Compliance Manager
- Processing data relating to external Costs and Suppliers
- Processing data relating to Income and Customers/Clients
- Processing VAT Returns
- Bank and Charge card reconciliation
- Assist the Finance Manager with processing month end journals and preparation of Monthly Management accounts and cashflow preparation and forecasting
- Assist with year-end audit
Skills required:
- Experience working within a similar Role
- Excellent knowledge of Excel, Word, SAGE 50 accounting
- Excellent Communication and Interpersonal skills
- Highly Organised and ability to manage own workload.
- Team Player
- Ability to be hands on within the Finance team
- Preference would be for an industry recognised qualification AAT, ICB or similar. QBE would be considered
- Previous payroll experience
