Senior Engineer (EV - Electronics & Software)
An organisation that has created a strong reputation for delivering a range of smart products for their market sector over the last 10 years, is now seeking a Senior Engineer to help develop new Electronic and Software related EV Technologies.
The company are keen to keep their market leading status in Smart Devices for the transportation and automotive sectors and are already investing heavily in the research of EV Power Supply applications.
Senior Engineer Package:
- £60,000
- 37.5 Hours Per Week

Senior Engineer – Purpose
- Design and develop wireless communication devices
- Design, prototype and develop PCB related products
- Support the integration of IoT Smart Sensors
- Liaise with manufactures and suppliers to understand how new electronic technologies can be adopted
- New Product Development and improvements of EV Power Solutions
- Conduct R&D activities related to wireless communication of EV Products
- Hardware and Firmware Design and Modifications of existing wireless products
- Integrate new and different IoT technologies
- Support all internal and external partners with technical expertise.
- Create and put together comprehensive documents, against all R&D projects
Senior Engineer – Requirements
- A formal Qualification (HND/Degree or above) in Electronic or Software Engineering
- A strong background in Hardware and Firmware Design and Development
- A good knowledge of PCB Design, Capture and CAD Drawings
- A good working understanding of MCU’s such as ST & Microchip
- Some programming experience – Ideally OOP – Java and C language
- Experience of programming Wi-Fi Chips
- A strong understanding of IoT Devices, Wireless Communications and Bluetooth technologies
- Knowledge EMC Standards
- A good exposure of both Digital and Analogue electronic circuit design, implementation, simulation, and verification.

The role will be hybrid, with the requirement to be in the office only 2 – 3 Days per week.
The position will best suit an experienced Electronic Engineer with direct exposure of either the Automotive, Telecommunication, Communication or Smart Tech industry sectors.
