Senior Employment Lawyer
Are you an experienced EL or ER Professional who’s passionate about employment law and takes pride in delivering high-quality and legally compliant advice and guidance to clients? Do you have experience of leading a team to ensure our clients are delighted with effective service?
Are you a conscientious and responsible individual, who is enthusiastic and organised with a commercial and pragmatic approach? You may be either a qualified legal professional (Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive) or have relevant equivalent HR/ER qualification. You'll need to typically have a minimum of 3 to 4 years PQE as an employment law solicitor/adviser. Candidates with equivalent experience delivering EL & ER advice in other legal or HR settings may also be considered.
Having acquired multiple businesses in the past year, the WorkNest team is growing fast, so we’re looking for a passionate Senior Employment Lawyer to join our friendly and professional Legal Team.
Why your role matters
Your role will support in the delivery of high quality, pragmatic, and efficient advice to WorkNest’s clients and, in particular, to LME & Mid-Market clients. To provide brilliant service to your own portfolio of clients or other clients within your advisory or pyramid team.
You’ll also oversee and mentor trainees/paralegals and more junior advisers to support in their development.
What you’ll be doing
The Employment Law Solicitor will be providing brilliant service to our clients as you provide legally compliant and high quality advice to your own portfolio of clients across the UK. You’ll work closely with your clients and employee representatives in relation to settlement discussions, early conciliation and associated issues.
You’ll support several of WorkNest’s largest and most important clients. You’ll play the important role of ensuring that our clients are able to meet their commercial objectives, as well as complying with the law and allowing the client to clearly consider the consequences of none / partial compliance if this is their consideration.
On occasion you’ll support with litigation and HR Consultancy work, as well as delivering external client training and internal training to the paralegals.
You’ll work with your own dedicated portfolio of clients and build long-lasting relationships with them.
Where you’ll be working
This is a hybrid role (a minimum of two days per week in either our Glasgow office, with the rest of the week remote). That way, you’ll be able to work collaboratively with colleagues, while also having some quieter time to focus on your workload without distraction.
