POSITION: SENIOR DISTRIBUTION MANAGER
DEPARTMENT: OPERATIONS
LOCATION: MK90 Distribution Centre
REPORTS TO: Head of Operations
PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
The Senior Distribution Manager is responsible for the management of the UK 3PL based in Milton Keynes, as well as overseeing the wider physical logistics for the LVMH Beauty brands. The purpose of the role is to ensure that inbound logistics, storage and warehousing, outbound logistics and return flows are all properly managed.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
3PL Management:
- Management and coordination with the UK 3PL on LVMH’s behalf
- Management and reporting of the KPI’s agreed
- Monitor and maintain service levels of UK distribution in line with agreed budgets, and communicate and act on any delay incurred in the fulfilment of orders from the UK DC
- Review the weekly P&L and challenge costs when needed
- Work with Finance and Head of Operations to budget costs at each review, and monitor costs on a weekly basis
- Implement and be responsible for continuous improvements programme
- Ensure adequate inventory levels at the 3PL at all times and alert on overstocks, working closely with the planning team. Monitor rolling the stock takes
- Ensure a smooth flow of finished goods (Retail & eCommerce) through UK DC to the final customer
- Ensure customer logistical specifications are maintained and adhered to at all times
- Arbitrate capacity issues between activities and brands, and prioritise the urgency of orders
- Main point of contact for all projects involving the 3PL operations
- Line manage, guide, develop, and train the Warehouse Assistant
Transport Management:
- Ensure the direct delivery shipments from the central warehouses to customers are delivered on time, including Ireland
- Ensure UPS deliveries are tracked and delivered on time
- Ensure import and export processes are followed
Returns & Underpayments:
- Supervise the scanning of all our B2B and B2C returns, and subsequent on-time crediting
- Oversee the underpayments process from the Operations side, ensuring all points are followed up on, and underpayments total reduces year on year
LVMH Online and secondary stock
- Ensure the proper working of the LVMH Online tool, and coordinate order fulfilment through 3PL (staff sales, uniforms, stationery, etc)
