Senior Director of Operations

Senior Director of Operations London, England

Multiverse
Full Time London, England 55983 - 69071 GBP ANNUAL Today
Job description

We are Multiverse, a tech scaleup with a social mission. We’re creating a diverse group of future leaders by building an outstanding alternative to university and corporate training, through the power of professional apprenticeships.

We’re one of the fastest-growing businesses in Europe and rapidly expanding in North America, working with over 500 clients including Facebook, KPMG, Morgan Stanley and the NHS. In June 2022, we broke the EdTech funding record (again!) by announcing our $220m Series D, making Multiverse the UK’s first ever EdTech unicorn.

Join us on our journey to democratising access to the best careers and learning opportunities.

The opportunity

We are hiring a Senior Director of Operations to report directly to our COO, responsible for all apprentice and candidate operations, globally. This newly formed role will build the data driven operational “machine” to enable our apprentice and candidate experience teams to drive success and accelerate progress against business and apprentice outcomes. This person will own all operations related to our candidate and apprentice experience to ensure we are building a seamless experience that is efficient, and delightful. This is our biggest opportunity area to drive efficiency, increase outcomes and utilize insights to drive impact at scale.

Our successful senior leaders will have these things in common: they develop strategic partnerships with their peers and execs across the business; they adopt an owner mentality, taking full responsibility for their function and their outcomes; they translate their ambitious vision into achievable goals and execute reliably, they are comfortable creating order from chaos, and they build and coach high performing and inclusive teams.

Who are you?

  • You are an operational powerhouse who loves building systems and processes and hates seeing the same mistakes again and again. You think in systems know how to leverage technology to automate processes to drive efficiencies and quality (whether this is buying in systems, or building in-house). You see headcount as a lever, not a solution, and gravitate towards building things that run on their own.

  • You know how to build for scale and have a bias for action. You have a proven track record of scaling an operation (people, process, product) in a fast-growth, high-performance company that moves at pace. You’ve done it before and are excited to do it again.

  • You are obsessed with the customer experience. You are highly commercial and understand that your role is to develop operating patterns, processes and product experiences in service of creating an unparalleled user experience

  • You love data! You use data to drive decision making and comfortable using data to hold others accountable
