SPT Digital are continuing to evolve the Digital Services Team by recruiting an enthusiastic Senior Digital Technology Analyst during an exciting period of change within the team.

We have over 200 products and systems that support a wide variety of services across SPT (inc Glasgow Subway, Buchanan Bus Station, ZoneCard and Subsidised Bus Services).

This role will be part of a team of Senior Digital Technology Analysts (SDTA’s) who are focussed on the change delivery and maintenance of cloud and inhouse technologies. This team also provides service desk cover during normal working hours in a limited capacity as well as engagement with supplier and partners on opportunities for continuous improvement.

Our SDTA’s are responsible for the knowledge sharing and documentation around changed technologies. This is to ensure that future support activities and change activities can be optimally managed.

Our SDTA’s will lead on the procurement and implementation of new services and technologies as well as renewals as per the required schedule.

Good cyber security is integral to the continuity of services in SPT – our SDTA’s are integral to ensuring that our technologies are appropriately configured, maintained and introduced in line with cyber resilience best practice.

About You
This role would suit an individual coming from a small to medium enterprise looking to increase their knowledge and make significant improvements to organisational service processes. ITIL Service Management knowledge is a must.

The successful candidate will enjoy learning and be experienced in prioritising across different workstreams in a diverse environment.

They will have good knowledge of cloud and inhouse server technologies as well as experience of supporting databases, niche software and various endpoint types.

You will be naturally enthusiastic about technology and be able to bring simplicity to complexity for a wide range of stakeholders. You must be highly skilled at technical problem solving.

You will be a pragmatic person who understands when processes need to be approached differently to deliver business outcomes or a positive stakeholder experience.

You will be highly organised and comfortable in changing priorities when required.

You will be able to analyse and evaluate the risks, benefits and negatives of different requests in the wider context of the organisation.

This may be as an individual or as part of a team when required.

You will be someone who can help SPT evolve through using their passion for delivery and improvement.

Full time hours will be 35 hours per week Monday to Friday. However, you may be required to undertake work outwith this norm to meet the responsibilities of the post.
