Job description
Senior Developer
easyJet holidays
This is a really exciting opportunity allowing someone immerse themselves in a dynamic, fast paced environment as our Senior Developer for easyJet holidays. You will be responsible for the code level development and maintenance of the Enterprise Level IT solution, adhering to industry standards and best practice. The role works closely with the domain architecture, business analysts, developers and delivery managers to deliver new products and services to meet the needs of projects and programmes within the prioritised portfolio.
What you’ll be doing:
You’ll be responsible for the development of exciting new (and some existing) solutions, which will include designing and documenting technical solutions for functional and non-functional requirements, working with technical architecture peers to identify and agree technical standards, frameworks and tooling patterns for the enterprise solution, and identifying, mitigating and resolving technical risks within the solution.
As an experienced and talented developer, we’ll give you plenty of opportunity to coach and mentor the more junior members of the team. Using your technical expertise, you’ll be providing guidance and performing technical code reviews, and actively contributing during agile ceremonies and the maturing of our dev-sec-ops capacities.
What you’ll bring to the team:
You’ll need to have experience in an Agile environment where you have been developing solutions using Microsoft .Net technologies (C#, ASP.NET, MCV, Web Services, Web API, IIS and SQL Server) and various JavaScript libraries (JQuery/Knockout/Angular).
We’d love you to have HTML/CSS general front-end skills, experience of tools such as GIT for source control and Team City for build and CI, and experience of testing at multiple levels (TDD and BDD).
As a senior team member, you’ll need to have some experience of providing technical leadership within development teams, both in solution design and technical implantation.
What’s in it for you:
In addition to your competitive base salary, you’ll qualify for our company wide bonus scheme which could see you earning up to an additional 20% on top of your base each year. We'll also contribute 7% towards your pension. You'll have access to a variety of share options (BAYE, SAYE, Performance Shares) and life assurance is 4 x your annual salary.
Aside from the financials, we offer an extensive suite of flexible benefits that you can opt in or out of, such as Medical Cover, Dental Cover, Green Car, and Cycle to Work Schemes.
On top of all of that, you’ll get excellent staff travel benefits which includes heavily discounted flights for you and your friends and family, free easyJet Plus membership, and annual vouchers for you to spend on an easyJet holiday!
Working for one of Europe’s very best brands, you’ll be supported by a friendly team and be given great development opportunities. We're in the business of creating unforgettable experiences for our customers around the world, and the same applies for our people and their careers! Working at easyJet holidays can take you anywhere... where do you want to go?
This is a full-time role based at the easyJet holidays HQ which is near Luton Airport. We operate a hybrid working model and get together twice a week in the office which enables us to work effectively with our immediate teammates and encourages better cross-functional working.
