THE ROLE
Want to see your designs worn by millions? Here at ASOS, we’re looking for a passionate Designer to join our Womenswear design team. If you love creativity and designing product for the 20-something customer, researching the latest trends and want to be part of a fast-paced fashion forward design team this could be the opportunity for you!

The ASOS Design Team look for inspiration all around the world, along with street style, vintage shopping, music, art, the catwalk and all things creative, to de-sign the latest product for the range. It’s all about newness and finding and designing the most exciting product for our 20-something customer, whatever their style.
You’ll be…
- Researching, developing, and designing across multi-product category, including identifying key shapes, trends for the season, good fabric knowledge and building a range for the ASOS customer
- Reacting to sales information and design commercially relevant fashion forward ranges
- Sourcing new fabrications, techniques and trimmings. Good knowledge of fabric and fabric mills
- Working closely with in-house Buying teams – collaborating to create fresh product, each season
- Working with the technical team on fits on a weekly basis, identifying and helping create new silhouette blocks for the department
- Building relations with suppliers and advising factories on direction, silhouette, construction, key details, fabrics, trimmings and artworks.
- Managing and developing an Assistant Designer
We’d love to meet, someone with…
- Previous experience designing multi-product and working with pattern cutters in an aspirational brand or high street retailer.
- Previous experience of direct sourcing from fabric mills with knowledge of cut and construction.
- A Strong commercial handwriting and understanding of the ASOS Brand and Customer
- Familiarity with Photoshop, Adobe, CAD
- Wants to travel in the UK for Supplier meetings and Inspirational purposes, international development travel.
- Lives and breathes fashion and is passionate about the product
- Strong organization skills and able to use their initiative and to work in a high-pressured environment
- The ability to build great relationships with colleagues across the business and suppliers alike
