Job description

We have an exciting opportunity to recruit for a new Senior Dental Nurse to work within the Maxillofacial Unit at Castle Hill Hospital.

You will be required to act as a role model for other Registered Dental Nurses, Staff Nurses, Health Care Assistants in delivering the highest standard of nursing care to our patients visiting our department.

The role will encompass specific responsibility for managing the dental nurse team and assisting the maxillofacial and orthodontic clinicians in the clinic when required.

The post holder will be expected to provide support to the Nursing and Medical staff in the provision of professional, clinical, managerial and medical support, advice and leadership, ensuring that high levels of patient care is maintained in line with professional and statutory guidelines.

The post holder will be expected to deputize in the absence of the Senior Sister.

The Senior Dental Nurse will work alongside the Senior Sister and Junior Sister in maintaining standards and care for patients in Maxillofacial and Orthodontics.

We are a diverse department encompassing Registered General Nurses and Registered Dental Nurses.

The role predominately is Monday to Friday however occasional clinics will be provided on a rotational basis between Castle Hill Hospital and Hull Royal Infirmary.
