Senior Creative Filming and Video Producer

Are you an experienced creative filming and video producer with a passion for creating and delivering engaging and impactful video content?
We are looking for a Senior Creative Filming and Video Producer who will demonstrate high levels of creative expertise to develop and create video deliverables.
The Senior Creative Filming and Video Producer will manage multiple projects simultaneously and is expected to advocate for initiatives that will enhance the brand image of the School of Design as well as the School’s standards ensuring meticulous detail, quality and consistency are observed across different channels. They will have specific responsibility for delivering key elements of filming and video production throughout the year and expected to contribute to various areas of the School of Design, including filming and video production fully online teaching and for online professional development training.
The Senior Creative Filming and Video Producer will be able to plan, shoot, and tell stories enhanced by up-to-date editing techniques. The ideal candidate will have expert domain knowledge of film and editing software, strong visual techniques, and a keen sense for conceptualisation, which translates well into aesthetically curated, eye-catching visuals that deliver concise, compelling storytelling though video.
They will report to the Head of Creative Design (who is also the Head of School of Design) and work closely with the Creative Design Lead and Project Manager to: a) ensure projects are delivered in a timely manner and within budget; b) manage the output of the filming and video production team and play an influential role in developing junior team members. Whilst they will have a direct reporting line, they will be comfortable to work independently across multiple working projects.
The role requires a collegial and diplomatic nature that builds strong relationships and acts as an ambassador of the School of Design values both within the university and externally with partners. They should also display a high level of professionalism and collegiality with all staff in the School of Design.
