In this role you’ll be covering Institutional channels across the UK focusing on Platforms, with the predominant focus on adding DWS strategies to UK platforms and driving new AUM through these channels.
You will be joining the Client Coverage team, working alongside the sales team, with a specific focus on a defined list of key institutional clients and targeting a defined set of strategies. The role will involve being the first point of contact for your clients and the face of DWS to them. Duties will range from sales and business development to providing support for any queries clients may have, managing documentation management and changes; KYC/AML reviews and updates and being a key contact within the business for any issues or changes affecting our clients.
Role Responsibilities:
Provision of client relationship management services to a defined set of DWS UK’s institutional clients. Specific tasks include:
- Developing new sales opportunities across pensions, insurance and other institutional client bases
- Monitoring the client relationship to gauge current satisfaction level, future trouble spots, future needs
- Identifying and executing cross sell opportunities
- Review of press, regular research into client wallets, financial statements, peer review etc. to assist in developing investment strategy and new proposals
- Working with clients to understand their changing objectives and propose investment solutions
- Working with clients to identify new investment opportunities and medium-term strategies
- Plan and execute multi-tier client contact plan and implement across all levels of client contact
Activity management
- Liaising with the client and internal business areas to implement a client instruction which can range from IMA/Investment Guideline amendments, transaction instructions, trade stop notices etc., with delegation to as appropriate
- Overseeing resolution email, telephone queries from clients
Client data
- Overseeing maintenance of up-to-date client data in all relevant databases/files, performing periodic reviews to ensure client data remains up to date (Salesforce), supporting client services manager
- Responsibility for KYC/AML checks, including client data and research
Complaints management
- Processing of client complaints in accordance with Group Policy, supporting client services manager
Compliance & controls
- Compliance liaison, data provision and response co-ordination
- Managing regulatory changes, impact assessment, provision of data, liaison with compliance and regulatory team
Events management
- Organising and participating in client events, with support from events manager
- Managing client communications on market events
Meetings
- Responsible for planning, set up and administration of client meetings, including materials and call reports
Presentations
- Participating in and leading meetings
- Preparing books for client presentations
Reporting
- Assist in review of reports for reasonableness, errors etc.
- Assist in preparation of investment review books, checking and sending
- Designing/developing report specifications based on client or internal requirements
- Assist in extracting client data, checking, formatting into defined client report templates
- Assist in sending reports to clients
- Assist in maintaining the timetable of reporting deliverables. Supervising distribution and ensuring sufficient resources available to meet requisite deadlines
Take on
- Oversee onboarding of new funds or mandates
Value-add services
- Proactive provision of information on additional services i.e. research, conferences
Person Specification
Experience / Qualifications
- Tertiary qualifications, preferably in a business-related discipline
- Finance industry experience
- Investment management industry experience
- CFA Charter holder or aspiring
- Understanding of investment management business & operational processes
- Working knowledge and familiarity with investment concepts and securities
- Accounting/financial reporting background
