As a consultant – data science and analytics you will work as part of an agile team to deliver innovative, algorithmic solutions to complex problems ensuring that solutions are rigorously tested and deliver business value. We expect solutions to make use of sophisticated algorithms whilst enabling high levels of decision-making transparency and user control. You will work at all stages of the development lifecycle from idea generation to testing, implementation and operational support

ABOUT THE ROLE
As a senior consultant – data science and analytics, you will be leading projects working as part of a large multi-disciplinary team within your business area, to develop sophisticated solutions to support multiple TUI markets. As a senior member of the team you will combine technical skills and business understanding to maximise the value that you and the team delivers. You will take a lead in structuring complex problems so that you or others can develop appropriate solutions.
You are able to manage and influence senior stakeholders as well as analysts, developers and data scientists. You can manage work on projects and prioritise work to meet deadlines and maximise value.
As a senior consultant – data science and analytics, you will lead the thinking on new solutions, always driven by your knowledge of how to add business value. You ensure technical excellence in everything that you and the team produces. You are aware of a wide range of logical, statistical and machine learning approaches with hands-on experience of delivering value through analytics solutions. You have the technical skills to analyse data and code solutions yourself as well as coaching and managing others..
ABOUT YOU
- A track record of delivering business value with analytical solutions
- Very strong communication skills to work with and influence a wide range of stakeholders
- Excellent problem-solving skills coupled with an analytical mindset and creative thinking to develop innovative solutions
- Ability to manage an analytics project including management and coaching of junior members of the team
- Strong commercial acumen and understanding of how to deliver business value through analytics
- Significant experience analysing data and building solutions using SQL, Python or similar
- Understanding of data science and machine learning approaches and applications
- Experience working with AWS or other cloud platforms and understanding of advantages and considerations
- Comfortable with ambiguity, highly autonomous with a drive to deliver results
- You have a degree or equivalent experience in computer science, mathematics, or a subject involving similar analytical skills
