Sundays and bank holidays £20.62 per hour

Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust are currently seeking a Senior Healthcare Assistant to join their community team on a full time basis for the next 12 weeks. Working hours for this role will be Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm. The successful candidate will have experience of working with people who have learning disabilities.

What you will be responsible for
- Provide support for clients whom because of their complex needs, cannot or have difficulty accessing Primary and Hospital healthcare.
- Support and enable clients to have better health so that they can participate fully in daily activities, whilst observing the individual’s right to choose, respect and dignity at all times. Provide opportunities for clients to develop their full potential.
- Promote the health and well-being of clients and encourage positive attitudes and practices to enable healthier lifestyles.
- To hold own caseload as directed and supervised by the designated qualified Health Professional.
The role will involve, but not limited to you performing the above.
You will have the following qualification/experience:
· A minimum of 6 months experience of working as a Senior Care Support Worker in a UK hospital environment with either a Care Certificate or NVQ Level 2 or above in Health and Social Care in the last 2 years OR
· 12 months experience of working as a Care Support Worker in a UK hospital environment in the last 3 years.
· Specific learning disability experience is essential.
· Undertake regular mandatory training.
*Depending on the Trust, you may require variable additional certification and skills.
