Senior Communications Officer – Adult Health – Lambeth Council – SW2 1RW
I am currently representing Lambeth Council who are offering an initial temporary contract for a period of 6 months with a view to be extended or offered a permanent position for the right candidate at a rate of between £250 - £350 per day which is negotiable dependent upon experience
We are looking for a Senior Communications Officer you will be based: SW2 1RW
To lead on delivering a wide range of communications, campaigns and engagement activities for the London HIV Prevention Programme, hosted by the London Borough of Lambeth, and with a focus on health promotion.
This involves commissioning and/or developing communications and media services across London’s boroughs and across organisational boundaries as Lambeth partners with London Councils, ADPH London and other stakeholders to ensure governance for LHPP and delivery is strong across London.
To work with various partners to develop and implement communications and campaign plans and activities for identified projects and programmes, including Do It London, ensuring high quality, value for money outputs and results.
To apply high quality development, commissioning (of media services) and communications principals to ensure outcomes are achieved for all London boroughs participating in LHPP via the London HIV prevention programme (LHPP)
This will require wide ranging knowledge and experience of development, cooperative commissioning, co- design, co-production with high level of skill in engagement across London, partnership working, stakeholder management, contract monitoring and strong levels of political awareness. The role will require research and critical analysis of information and data, options appraisal, as well as provider improvement, contract and performance monitoring and evaluation.
· Monitoring and managing the delivery of the Do It London HIV prevention campaign (which will be live at the point of appointment)
· Planning and overseeing the evaluation of the campaign
· Managing the procurement of key media contracts to ensure continuous delivery into the new financial year
Experience required
· Experience of working within a local authority previously
· Experience of working as a communications officer
· Experience of dealing with campaigns
