In this role, you will be accountable for the execution and oversight of local clinical operations activities in compliance with ICH/GCP and country regulations, Our Company policies and procedures and with quality standards internally and externally.
Key roles and deliverables include, but not limited to;
Complete CTC oversight, resource planning and vendor Governance. Line Management of HC CTCs and Leadership of Safety CTC Team
Oversees Brexit BAU: Import/ Export requirements
Leads on GCTO UK & ROI early talent strategy
Supports CRD with all aspects of Department operations orientated to ensuring delivery of GCTO UK & ROI goals and objectives and drives performance through tracking of metrics
Core Member of GCTO UK & ROI Leadership Team
Supports CRD, Functional Areas Heads and individuals with development and publishing of annual local goals and plan
Preparation of storyboards to track and demonstrate key deliverables and LT Sponsored projects
Preparation of year end report for GCTO UK & ROI achievements
Accountable for local communications plan; Leads Teams and individuals delivering content for Townhalls, Department meetings, Cluster Review Meetings, bi-annual Extended Leadership Team Meetings, develops regular Department communications/ updates and coordinates contributions to EMEA GCTO Newsletter, Yammer
Mapping and planning of Department key milestones and deliverables to enable better planning and anticipate future resourcing needs
Accountable for resource management tracking, leading co-ordination of new resource needs and HC expansion with Functional Areas Heads
Works with Functional Area Heads to determine outsourcing needs
Supports CRD and fCOM Specialist Lead with Department Operating Budget, coordinates with project owners on out-tasking business cases and presents them to Regional Operations for endorsement, coordinates annual budget needs and actuals for local outsourcing initiatives
Core Competency Expectations:
Demonstrates proactive leadership and must be able to in/directly influence vendors, external partners and country managers to deliver on annual commitments within specified timelines and budgets, with minimal oversight from the line manager
Skilled knowledge of budget and contract negotiations
Ability to proactively develop risk management and mitigation plans in the country and resolve issues locally. He/she is an independent decision maker with a clear understanding of the pros and cons of each decision and takes ownership of decisions
Extensive experience with clinical project management and coordination
Extensive experience of clinical research management at the site level
Master of core GCTO clinical operations systems, tools and metrics
Strong coordination and organizational skills
Additionally for financial responsibilities: preferred and strong knowledge and aptitude in accounting and financial acumen
Demonstrates leadership behaviours

Strong communication and leadership skills
Strong negotiation skills as well as excellent influencing and training/mentoring skills, both written and verbal
People management skills will be valued
Ability to focus on multiple deliverables simultaneously is essential
Ability to work effectively also in a remote virtual environment with a wide range of people and understanding of cultural differences
Fluency in both English and local language.
Experience Requirements:
8 years of experience in clinical research
Educational Requirements:
Required:
Bachelor's Degree (or comparable) in Business Finance/ Administration/ Life Science or equivalent Health Care related experience
Preferred:
Master's Degree (or comparable) in Business Finance/ Administration/ Life Science or equivalent Health Care related experience
