The Last Drop Village Hotel & Spa in Bromley cross are currently seeking a talented Senior Chef from a fresh food background with a stable career path to run our exciting new food concept,
This is a new key role for an exciting new concept which we are looking to develop over time, this would suit someone with a keen eye for detail, with the ability to manage your own time, team and run a busy operation.
You will be responsible for taking charge of and managing the food cost, stock rotation, labelling, ordering, HACCP, Cleaning schedules, SOPS, menu development alongside our Executive Head Chef and his senior team, you will also help to manage our street food operation.
This is a busy fast paced environment with lots going on, multiple kitchens serving different types of cuisine, you must be up to speed with techniques old and new. And also have the ability to be adaptable in different circumstances.
You must possess a current basic food hygiene certificate as a minimum requirement.
The hotel features 135 bedrooms with residents bar and lounges all reflecting the hotels eclectic design, a retreat for both business and leisure guests wishing to enjoy a relaxed stay in a quiet location.
Responsibilities of the Senior Chef include delivering high quality food to valued guests, maintaining the cleanliness of the kitchen, and participating in all aspects of the kitchen within an existing team.
We are looking to add strength to our team, with an opportunity to develop and progress within the team for the right candidates.
The positions are for an average of 45 hours per week, depending upon business needs you maybe required to do more from time to time, you will normally be working 5 days out of 7. You will be required to work a flexible shift pattern which includes mornings, evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
The right fit, for this environment you will need to posses the job skills outlined below, in this role you will need to work closely with the Executive Head Chef, and senior kitchen team to maintain and improve food quality and standards throughout the property, You must be adept at being able to adapt at any situation and think on your feet using you initiative to problem solve.

This is a supervisory role therefore you will be required to run your own kitchen alongside the senior team and support them when the Executive Head Chef is absent, it is your responsibility to run the kitchen and all food outlets associated with the operation of the hotels food outlets.
You will also take care of food purchasing and storage, and be accountable for the food margin. Helping to manage costs and wastage to agreed parameters.
As well as, maintaining a safe and hygienic kitchen environment.
In addition, you are also going to assist with the training and development of the kitchen team and implementation of SOPS, practices and procedures.
Meals are provided on duty.
Chef whites are provided,
In house development program for chefs and kitchen staff.
28 days paid holiday per year.
Salary extremely competitive and negotiable depending upon experience.

Because of the location of the property and local transport link someone who has their own transport would be best suited.
