Delivers and embeds Global and UK change in line with UK Commercial banks strategy, helping HSBC achieve its strategic goals in the UK market. The role is instrumental in supporting and driving the business to design the right solutions and achieve benefits realisation and returns on their change investments, ensuring that our significant change programmes are considering all change aspects, leading to a smooth implementation and transition to BAU.
This includes upfront involvement in defining requirements, considering solutions against audience analysis, identifying and mitigating key change Risks, and helping identify opportunities for early realisation of benefits. End to end project Management, from initiation through to Implementation, impacting UK Commercial Banking.
Success in this role will require the Senior Change Manager to be flexible, innovative and able to bring structure to ambiguous situations and problems, whilst adapting to the needs of the business. They should be high in energy, have a sense of urgency, be driven and have the ability to learn quickly and tackle complex problems. They should be outcome focussed.
This team supports the Global Commercial Banking Strategic Business Initiatives, Country Specific and Regulatory Change for CMB. The team works with the Business to ensure that all aspects of change has been considered, to ensure a smooth Implementation.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Lead and manage the UK CMB Regulatory Change programme, which can include activities across multiple Regulatory Programmes and deliverables to successful ensure the requirements of UK CMB are met and impacts mitigated.
- Overseeing the Managing, coordinating and delivering of multiple UK Change projects
- Providing oversight of multiple projects for UK CMB
- Reporting progress, issues, dependencies and risks to project or programme leadership and committees (as appropriate) and making recommendations to influence decision making, in order to maintain progress towards delivery and benefits realisation
- Engagement with the Global CMB, UK CMB Segments and key stakeholders across UK CMB Product and functions
- Supporting the development and Implementation of nationally consistent approaches across the change agenda.
- Share Knowledge, experience and bets practices with junior employees within immediate team and promote a collective culture to spread experience and best practice.
- Reporting progress, issues, dependencies and risks to project or programme leadership and committees (as appropriate) and making recommendations to influence decision making, in order to maintain progress towards delivery and benefits realisation

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
- Project Management Qualification i.e. Agile, Six Sigma, Transformation Frameworks
- Extensive business knowledge or banking experience
- Knowledge of UK Regulation
- Effective communication skills.
- Proven track record in Regulatory project delivery
- Knowledge of the marketplace and the competition
- Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks
- Ability to gather, analyse and interpret comprehensive information and/or customer requirements in order to provide solutions
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills; an ability to communicate with impact, ensuring complex information is articulated in a meaningful way to wide and varied audiences
- Anticipates and identifies risks and ensures appropriate steps are taken to mitigate and manage them
- Influencing skills and ability to builds positive working relationships with our customers, colleagues and stakeholder
- Planning and organisational skills in order to manage the unexpected as well as anticipated issues or events, so that success can still be achieved
- A broad understanding of financial budgets/statements/models, with experience of analysing data effectively for planning, forecasting and reporting.
The base location for this role will be 8 Canada Square, London with hybrid working.
