Role Requirements:
- Minimum of at least one year’s experience as a carer
- NVQ (or equivalent) in Health & Social Care is desired but not essential
- To provide quality care for people in their own homes
- Due to nature of the job, driving is essential for this role
- A caring nature and passion to make a real difference to someone’s life
- Great communication skills
- Ability to work as part of a team supporting each other when necessary
- Flexibility, reliability, hard work and honesty
Role Responsibilities:
- Personal care
- Companionship and communication
- Building relationships with service users and their families
- Food preparation
- Light household chores
- Shopping or ordering food deliveries
- Assist with medication
- Laundry
- Take service user out for local trips
- Engage with service users’ pastimes and hobbies
- Support care workers in their development by conducting supervisions and spot checks
- Support Supervisors in managing the day-to-day running of the business
