Red Sector Recruitment has a new and exciting opportunity for a Senior Care Assistant that has just come in to work with one of our respected clients in the seaside resort of Bangor County Down Northern Ireland.
Our client at present are looking at block booking a Seniour Care Assistant to take charge of the unit from 10pm to 8am (night shift), and must be able to administer medications. We are looking for 2 nights per week initially (2x10.25 hrs) with view of moving to a 12 hour shift pattern when we have sufficient staff in place.
Excellent Hourly rates paid weekly
Key Requirements
- NISSC Registered
- Access NI
- Knowledge and experience of Care Planning
- A good understanding of the needs of vulnerable adults and their families
- Knowledge of Quality Assurance and monitoring standards
- Knowledge of the role of the Regulation Quality & Improvement Authority
- A minimum of NVQ/QCF Level 2 Award in Health and Social Care and willingness to work towards Level 3
- A willingness to work towards NVQ/QCF Assessors Award
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience, including attendance at statutory training in a care role in a residential home for older people\
- Experience in ordering, receiving, administering and storage of medication
- Availability for flexible hours working (including weekends), which may include hours beyond the normal shift pattern
- Willingness to maintain registration with the Northern Ireland Social Care Council, by the Appointee, is a requirement of this position
