Overview:
We are looking for an enthusiastic, passionate and reliable Senior Care Assistant to be a part of our team. The Senior will work hands on within the home and contributes to the success of the team on shift. You will show warmth and compassion with everything you do and aim to promote residents independence and dignity. Each shift will be different so you can expect to undertake work that’s as varied as it is rewarding. You’ll assist with their daily living as well as providing support and companionship.
Main Responsibilities:
· Taking regular health observations ie Blood oxygen, temperature and weighing
· Assisting residents with their personal hygiene and toileting
· Bed making and the use of pressure relieving aids e.g Pro-Pad cushions, ripple beds etc
· Collection of samples ie urine, faeces, vomit, sputum as requested
· Attend training sessions as directed by Management and Team Leader
· Act as a chaperone to medical and other professional staff of the opposite sex as appropriate.
· Report accidents and untoward incidents to the manager, deputy or Team Leader
· Draw attention to hazards and any faulty equipment in the home
· Answer call bells
· Completing routine welfare checks throughout the day to ensure residents are safe and well
· Supporting residents to maintain good nutrition and hydration as required
· Encouraging residents to mobilise safely around the home, with the support of mobility aids and specialist equipment
· Providing friendship and companionship to residents
· Maintaining accurate and timely records on Mobile Care Monitoring and completing documentation/ handover.
· Being a part of a multi-disciplinary team and engaging with other care professionals, as and when required.
· Guide team on shift in the absence of management or Team Leader
· Dispensing Medication showing all due diligence.

Salary: Up to £10.50 per hour

Experience:
