Job description
As a Senior Care Assistant/Care Team Leader you will provide person centred care and support to assist residents to maintain their independence including personal care, mealtimes, and activities whilst also providing a listening ear to those who need it most. You will also be responsible for dispensing medication and using your management skills to ensure a high level of quality care is being delivered.
Key Responsibilities
- Helping our residents with personal support and care.
- Administration and monitoring of medications to residents.
- Maintaining care plans
- Support in training and supervision of junior and new staff members in all aspects of their work in the care centre, under the supervision of senior staff members
- Assist service users in all aspects of their care needs (e.g. physical, emotional and spiritual). Provide attention when needed whilst ensuring service users retain their comfort and dignity.
- Carry out regular checks on service users at intervals determined by senior staff members.
Essential Skills
- An NVQ2 is essential but must be willing to work towards an NVQ3
- Prior care experience preferred
- Undergone Medication training
- Care planning
- Communication Skills for attending MDT Meetings
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Graduate
Part-time hours: 48 per week
Salary: £17.00-£20.00 per hour

Experience:
- providing care: 1 year (preferred)
- supervisory: 1 year (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- Driving Licence (preferred)
- NVQ Level 2 Health & Social Care (preferred)
