Age UK is currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Campaigns Officer to join the charity’s dynamic and impactful External Affairs team.
In this key role you will inspire, mobilise, and amplify the voices of older people to achieve significant social change.
As Senior Campaigns Officer you’ll lead on the delivery of our campaigning strategy, manage our 150,000 strong online campaign community, and lead offline activities to get the attention of decision makers. You’ll also develop a range of creative and effective communications and mobilisation materials to positively drive our campaigns forward.
This is a crucial role in helping us to secure meaningful social change and communicate our influencing work to the public. As such, we are looking for an engaging, driven and confident campaigner with excellent project management, communication and influencing skills.
We are pleased to confirm this is a hybrid opportunity, a blend of home-based and office working. In person attendance at our London office is expected at least once a month for team days, but also as and when meetings or campaign events dictate.
Interviews are likely to take place on 10th or 11th May in the London office (EC3N 2LB) or online through MS Teams.
Must haves:
- Digital campaigning skills including knowledge of Engaging Networks or equivalent platform.
- Experience writing persuasive materials for a range of platforms and audiences.
- Demonstrate a strong personal commitment to diversity and inclusion and apply this across all communication channels.
- Experience of co-ordinating events and projects.
- Ability to manage complex projects and coordinate cross organisational working.
- A demonstrable understanding of the external environment and interest in politics, public opinion and how change happens.
- Good organisational and planning skills, along with an ability to prioritise workload and competing demands.
