GRAHAM Works Design Team is an invaluable in-house support resource, providing civil, structural & geotechnical advice to our site teams throughout the United Kingdom and Ireland. This support service provides expert advice to support understanding and resolution of technical project issues in works. The GRAHAM Works Design Team has the ability of mobilising adequate resources to support project delivery, assisting all site teams and promoting a professional, reactive and reliable works design service with an emphasis on safety and buildability of all designs. We have a team of experienced professionally qualified engineers and technicians, with a wide range of technical knowledge within civil, structural and geotechnical engineering disciplines. In addition, we also offer services such as 3D Cad, Navisworks, 3D Laser Scanning, BIM Visualisation and Vehicle Swept Path Analysis. To contribute to the successful delivery of a broad range of complex civil, structural & geotechnical works drawings and details, throughout the GRAHAM business. Provide technical support and draughting solutions for live projects and tenders, ensuring all solutions are safe, buildable and in full accordance with GRAHAM Policies and Procedures for works. A CAD Technician must manage their own workload, maximising individual utilisation and project efficiency. It is the responsibility of the CAD Technician to maintain their own Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and to encourage and assist in the development of junior staff within the GRAHAM business, maintaining relationships with peers to ensure the transfer of knowledge / skills / expertise. Attendance at and full engagement is required for any learning and development activities that are deemed appropriate by your line management. Also, full participation and engagement is expected for company appraisal / performance review processes with the aim of constantly working to improve your individual, your team and the wider business's performance. The Works CAD Technician will be responsible for: Production of 2D CAD drawings to support engineering functions, including works, above and below ground in all materials. Production of 3D intelligent models to support BIM. Production of intelligent BIM models to support tender schemes and project delivery. Assist and mentor Junior Cad Technicians in their daily office routine. Continuously checking the output of Junior CAD Technicians to ensure full compliance with CAD Standards. Overseeing and continuously improving Cad Standards within the GRAHAM Works Team. Ensuring all 2D & 3D CAD Drawings are of high-quality standard and of consistent format, throughout the team. Production of Vehicle Swept Analysis exercises within the Works Team. To work alongside other professionals in multi-disciplinary teams. To attend site visits where required to inspect works or to assist with resolution of buildability issues ascertained during construction works. Introducing improvements and innovations where appropriate. Working as part of a team, taking personal responsibility to deliver results with the ability to multi-task (prioritise, organise and schedule work) and to deal with change and react to changing site requirements. Comply with applicable legal requirements and Company policies / procedures, including CDM Regulations, the GRAHAM SHE Management System (SHEMS) and the GRAHAM Quality Management System. (QMS) Comply with GRAHAM policies and procedures for functional governance. Contribute to continuous improvement by attending team meetings and contributing to the team development topics. Maintain project documentation and records. Manage own workload, maximising individual utilisation and project efficiency. Ensure the timely completion and submission of timesheets.
