Senior Business Analyst – Circa £70k – Remote Working
Overview:
An excellent opportunity has arisen with an exciting Life Sciences organisation for an experienced Business Analyst to join on a permanent basis. You will act as a primary liaison between partners, SME’s and platform development teams to ensure platform and regulatory requirements are understood, captured, and documented in a manner facilitating development and validation.
- Lead and motivate an integrated, inclusive and flexible team, ensuring that people with the right range of skills and experience are recruited and retained, and that their skills and professional capabilities are maximised
- Manage internal & external stakeholder relationships, including third party contractors and report to stakeholders on BA activities and progress.
- Identify, capture, and prioritise requirements for the clinical trials platform as directed
- Lead workshops, requirements gathering sessions and other meetings as required
- Maintain and evolve requirements documents, business process diagrams, state diagrams, wire frames and entity models as needed
- Formulate and review Epics and User Stories as needed and in collaboration with third-party suppliers and contractors. Ensure Requirements, Epics and User Stories are testable and facilitate fast cycle times from definition to deployment
- Ensure traceability from requirement to deployment through working with the Test and Validation Lead, Head of Development, third-party suppliers, and the wider Product Team
- Ensure that documentation and working practices satisfy regulatory requirements
- Maintain the Product Backlog as required by the Product Owner
- Participate in ceremonies, stand-ups, playbacks, and other meetings as foreseen by the software delivery approach
- Broad technology competence with solid experience leading the business analysis activities
- Significant experience working with third-party and geographically distributed development teams
- Experience of people management, either direct or matrix management as well as mentoring and developing individuals
- Significant experience of working as a Business Analyst, identifying, and capturing requirements, including UX requirements, for systems supporting complex, safety critical, business processes, preferably within healthcare or pharma, ideally within clinical trials
- Strong technical understanding of Business Analysis frameworks, business processes design and modelling, business rules and state diagrams, wire frames, entity modelling, business requirements and UAT methodologies
- Significant experience working with agile, scrum or lean, iterative methodologies, formulating epics and user stories and maintaining a product backlog
- Experience in maintaining requirements and documentation in a continuous deployment setting, enhancing a platform over multiple release
- Experience in analysing alignment between business requirements and technology / system capabilities.
- Experience working with Agile and DevOps tools such as Azure DevOps or Jira
- Experience of developing conceptual data models alongside requirements and the progression of these to logical data models.
