GENERAL SCOPE AND PURPOSE
As Senior Booking Services Assistant, you will manage the corporate, association and convention groups, leisure groups and all the meeting and events on property to actively convert customer enquiries into confirmed sales.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Senior Booking Service Assistant will interact frequently with customers and guests to learn about their needs and develop relationships from which to earn repeat and expanded business.Show arounds will be part of your day-to-day tasks.
You will be responsible for, but not limited to, performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
Maximizing hotel’s groups and events revenue conversion.
Managed all aspect of the group/meetings and events business from quoting to their departure – feedback and follow up call for future business will be also part of this process.
Delivers a proactive sales culture within the office working with the sales manager.
PMS / R&I / Delphi data management
Update on Events to apply the correct rate strategy.
To ensure all group, meetings, conference, and events enquiries are chased in a timely manner and all stages of the booking are being managed in accordance with company standards.
Actively manage and develop group account base to exceed sales goals through building and maintaining client and agent relationships.
Maximizing Meeting broker / Cvent and any other tool to convert groups and using the e-proposal as a standard.
Contribute to the selling strategy of the hotel and manage the departments to achieving the strategy.
Understand the competitive marketplace and implement approaches to ensure the hotel stays ahead in the local market.
Making sure all groups meet and great/Welcome letter are distributed, and feedback are collected.
Run the operations meeting from the groups/ reservation side brief the operational departments at the hotel and distribute BEO’s for the next upcoming 14 days.
Ensure communication occur with front of house for group handover and F&B departments daily for groups/ events arriving.
To successfully perform in this role, you must have the following skills and qualifications (if applicable):
·Experienced Reservations/M&E/Customer Relations professional with experience in the hotel market
·Conversant with Hotel PMS.
·Proficient in MS Word, Excel and online tools
·Ability to work under pressure to deadlines and targets
·Understanding of the hospitality and travel industry
·Ability to function independently with a minimum of supervision
·Demonstrated strong negotiation and rapport building skills
Demonstrated strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills (written and verbal)
