The Senior Licensed Aircraft Engineer reports directly into the Chief Licensed Engineers. Their duties shall consist of: Delivery of allocated work area to check plan, including task distribution of allocated team to meet check plan targets as defined by the Chief Engineer. Inspection and progressive certification of aircraft scheduled/unscheduled maintenance inspections, modifications, repairs, system functions and maintenance tasks across scope of trade and approvals. Support the Chief Licenced Engineer with daily management of staff, to include allocation to task, support welfare of staff and act as a leader in the workplace. Taking an active role in the management of conduct and performance of licenced engineers, mechanics and ors. ABOUT THE ROLE Accountable for delivery of allocated work area to check plan. Manpower supervision - oversight of allocated staff and their performance for day to day assigned tasks including time management. Responsible for LAE/mechanic resource within the team to ensure that technical, regulatory, general husbandry, tool control and aircraft safety requirements are met, ensuring daily work is scheduled appropriately to meet the aircraft maintenance programme. Responsible to work with the Chief Licensed Engineer and Senior/LAE colleagues to identify impending issues and generate solutions. Reschedule rectification tasks as necessary. Responsible to provide updates on work completed to Chief Licensed engineer and escalate any issues identified potentially impacting the aircraft scheduled work against planned daily targets. Accountable for the technical integrity of all their own work completed and/or when inspecting others work. Responsible to ensure all work completed meets company process and regulatory requirements. Accountable for maintaining correct time keeping of tasks, ensuring accurate recording, and booking of spent maintenance hours. Responsible for recording all defect rectification in a timely manner to the appropriate quality standard. Achieved by ensuring tasks are carried out in compliance with requirements, correctly identifying parts / materials, entering initial time estimates on cards, ensuring that all independent inspections, leak checks and functions are identified with reference to the correct maintenance data and ensuring progressive sign-off can be achieved. ABOUT YOU Hold Current EASA B1 and/or B2 Will hold and maintain a minimum of two appropriate fleet type ratings. Ability to hold and maintain appropriate company approvals specific to the role. Understanding of EASA part-145 requirements and Human Factors. Excellent communicator, flexible and solution focused. Excellent knowledge of Health and safety regulations and requirements. Computer literate.
