Your Role and Responsibilities
As an AWS Application Architect, you will be responsible for supporting the modernization to AWS cloud native growth. IBM Application Consultants work directly with our clients on key initiatives. You will have the opportunity to build an in-depth understanding of their business issues and implement organizational strategies that drive adoption of change. We are looking for experts who can build credibility and trust with our clients and provide knowledge that addresses individual and unique business needs.

Responsibilities

• Add AWS expertise to projects in a hands-on role and in advisory capacity.
• Support bid defense meetings and proposals.
• Understand microservice and API based applications in AWS cloud.
• Help clients to move on premises monoliths to cloud based, event driven microservices capable of scaling.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• Validated understanding about available AWS services e.g. Lambda, App Mesh, Kafka etc.
• Expertise in modernizing the complex apps/environments from monoliths to microservices.
• Knowledge of modern development environment requirements; CI/CD tools, security, test, repositories.
• Proven problem solving and communication skills with all levels and backgrounds.
• You love collaborative environments that use agile methodologies to encourage critical thinking and ability to deal with ambiguity.
• Eligibility for security clearance.
  

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

• AWS Certifications – Professional
• Connect experience with AWS.
• Act as an evangelist and an advocate when it comes to AWS.
• Strong technical pre-sales and delivery dimension.
• Understanding of AWS compute, storage and networking.
• Knowledge of industry standard analytics and data tools.
• Knowledge of Machine Learning.
