All about the roleYou will be responsible for the generation and management of our common UI library, improving and adding to it. You will create a set of standards that are to be used company-wide (and beyond), creating a toolset which is easy to utilise and meets modern-day user interface requirements. You will work closely with designers, a delivery manager and a product manager to create a design system that will enable JET to create amazing experiences for our users.

As part of this varied role, we're also counting on you to:- Maintain, contribute-to and improve our common user interface library
- Enhance and create programming standards that are required by modern-day apps
- Collaborate with designers within your team to create and maintain a best in class design system
- Work closely with other teams and technologies raise awareness of the processes and standards that you are creating
- Lead and advocate for adoption and usage of the design system globally
- Teach, share, influence & learn together with a company, a product team, a second family
- Demonstrate your experience in developing interfaces that are both functional and attractive
Here's what we're looking for from you…
- Demonstrable experience developing native Android Apps with Kotlin and Java
- In depth knowledge of working with the Android View UI framework, ideally having written a number of custom views.
- Good understanding of the Android Jetpack Compose UI framework - it's new but you will have been using it when it was still in beta.
- Expert knowledge of Theming and styling for both Views and compose.
- You are familiar with architectural patterns like MVI and, MVVM
- Writing tests for your code is part of your definition of done
- You grasp the importance of UX and design systems and the work you deliver is sustainable
